STEPHEN LEONARD SEMON
STEPHEN LEONARD SEMON

Stephen Leonard Semon, 56, of 280 Aspen, Green River, Wyoming passed on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in Utah. A longtime resident of Green River, Wyoming and former resident of Utah Mr. Semon passed away following a brief illness. He was born on January 29, 1952 in Logan, Utah, the son of Arthur Fred and Venna Kingston Semon, Jr. Mr. Semon married Susan Kay Morgan in Green River, Wyoming on December 15, 1996.

He was the owner/operator of Vision Oil Tools Rental, LLC. in Green River, Wyoming for eight years.

Steve lived in the Green River area for more than thirty years. He was raised in Utah until the age of seventeen. He worked in the oil field for more than thirty years, twentynine of those years specializing in fishing and rental. He opened his own fishing and rental company in 2000. He enjoyed reading books, watching movies and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Susan Semon of Green River, Wyoming, his mother Venna Semon of West Jordan, Utah; three daughters Kelly Ward and husband Dan of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Tonya Lacy of Laramie, Wyoming Bonnie Straw and husband Damian of Green River, Wyoming; five sons Mike Semon and wife Tina of Green River, Wyoming, Jerrod Semon of Green River, Wyoming, Steven Seilaff and wife Raineer of Colorado, Anthony Morgan and wife Rehanna of Green River, Wyoming and Joe Handley of Billings, Montana; three brothers Ken Semon and wife Lisa of Washington, Lonnie Semon and wife Rosemary of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kerry Semon of Utah; one sister Linda Frahm and husband Steven of Utah and Ellie Semon a sister-in-law of Colorado; thirteen grandchildren Shaymun Hart of Green River, Wyoming, Shiler Hobbs of Green River, Wyoming, Shyra Hart of Green River, Wyoming, Micheal Semon of Green River, Wyoming, Diamond Ward of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Nicholas Semon of Green River, Wyoming Breelyn Semon of Green River, Wyoming, Esme Seilaff of Colorado, Gabriel Seilaff of Colorado, Sabrina Slater of St. George, Utah, Landen Slater of St. George, Utah, Kevan Straw of Green River, Wyoming and Andrew Melvin of Lubbock, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Thomas Kinston and Linda Jennett Moffett and fraternal grandparents Arthur Fred Semon, Sr. and Ester Inga Iversen; father Arthur Fred Semon, Jr. and one brother James Douglas Semon.

Following cremation in Salt Lake City, Utah, a memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way in Green River, Wyoming. Friends may call one hour prior to services.



LINDA TOMICH
LINDA TOMICH

Linda Tomich, 84, of 2811 Westridge Drive, Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at her home. A long time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming and former long time resident of Pinedale, Wyoming, Mrs. Tomich died following a brief illness. She was born on March 26, 1924 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sima Sumich Sulenta.

Mrs. Tomich attended school in Rock Springs, Wyoming and was a 1942 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. She attended and graduated from the Providence College of Nursing with a Nursing Degree. She married Mike "Speggs" Tomich in Hailey, Idaho on June 13, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2005. Following college, Mrs. Tomich was employed at Sweetwater Memorial Hospital as Night Supervisor for many years. She and her husband were the owners of Parkway Motel in Rock Springs, Wyoming for eighteen years. They later moved to Pinedale, Wyoming where Mrs. Tomich also worked at the Sublette County Retirement Center.

Survivors include three daughters Roberta Elmer and husband Jim, Tamara Liska and husband Ed all of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Siama Jimenez and husband Paul of Loveland, Colorado; one sister Donna Pedroni of Danville, California; seven grandchildren Lori Hall, Leslie Morton, Lynnet McDonald, Jamie Sudol, Joshua Liska, Zachary Liska, and Isabella Jimenez; seven great-grandchildren Dale Myska, Macall Morton, Walker Morton, Emma Sudol, Kate Sudol, Cami Sudol and Jarret McDonald.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Sima Sulenta; her husband Mike "Speggs" Tomich; three sisters Marianne Sulenta, Ann Butler, Kate Petrich; one brother Tony Sulenta.

Following cremation at the Vase White Mountain Crematory, a memorial service for Linda and Mike "Speggs" Tomich will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Graveside services and entombment will be conducted at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
