Enzi here on Friday

by Alecia Warren

As part of Senator Mike Enzi’s summer tour of a dozen Wyoming towns, the senator will host a Town Meeting in Pinedale from 10:30 to 11:30 Friday morning in the Lovatt Community Room in the Sublette County Library. Anyone is welcome to attend, and the senator will respond to questions, suggestions and criticism about federal policies that affect Wyoming.

“It’s a chance for the senator to get face-to-face feedback, and he appreciates that,” said Coy Knobel, press secretary for the senator.

August is the rare time of year when the senator has time to visit most towns in the state, Knobel said. “He’ll give an update just on what has been happening in Congress as of late, probably talk about the farm bills coming up, and of course, Pinedale energy is always of interest, so he’ll probably be discussing that,” the press secretary said.

Enzi will also be able to address issues related to his activities as a ranking member of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

The meeting will be informal, and will follow with ice cream from 11:30 to noon. “It’s fairly informal, and people should come by and talk with him,” Knobel said, adding that interested citizens can read updates of Enzi’s congressional activities on his Web site, enzi.senate.gov.
