Welcome to
Pinedale Hockey

Games are played at the Pinedale Ice Arena on the west end of Pinedale.

The Pinedale Hockey Association provides an opportunity for recreational level hockey competition for kids ages 5 through 17. Co-ed Adult and Men's Teams are also available for adult players. New this year is an Initiation Program for children who are not signed up with a team but who would like to learn basic hockey skills. We are affiliated with USA Hockey, the national governing body for the sport of ice hockey in the United States. Our program is designed to provide a safe, responsible environment for the conduct of ice hockey with an emphasis on sportsmanship, skill development and teamwork.

We play teams from Big Piney, Jackson, Kemmerer, Rock Springs, eastern Wyoming, and sometimes Idaho, Utah and Colorado.

Mission
The mission of the Pinedale Hockey Association is to promote the growth of ice hockey in Pinedale at all age levels ... to encourage, develop, advance and administer the sport while having a program aimed at increasing participation, improving skills and providing a responsible environment for the conduct of ice hockey. Our goal is to teach hockey players sportsmanship, respect for the individual, integrity, enjoyment, loyalty, teamwork and pursuit of excellence at the individual, team and organizational levels.

Our coaches' primary emphasis will be on the formal education of players and a de-emphasis on excessive competition and win-at-all-cost attitude in the youth program (under 14).

Where we play
The hockey rink is located on the west end of Pinedale near the golf course, three blocks south of US Hwy 191. The archery area may be used for viewing games at the rink as long as no archery practice is taking place. The building is kept cool, so bring warm clothes & coats to watch games. Restaurants and convenience stores are located within a couple blocks of the rink. There is a public telephone at the rink, however cell phone reception may be spotty within the metal building.
