Sublette County Sheriff's Office Jail Information, Wyoming

The jail is currently under renovation and expansion. At the present time, it holds from 15-20 prisoners every day. Once the new state of the art facility is completed, it will increase our capacity to 50 inmates.

The new Sublette County Detention Center, completed in April, 2004, is comprised of three jail pods. The county will fill vacant cells with contract "minimum to no security risk" prisoners from surrounding counties. The County has routinely "rented" cell space to other counties for the past 15 years.

Twelve new jobs have been created by the construction of the new detention facility. Food services are provided by the local Hi-Country Senior Citizens Center.

The new Communications and Command Center are state-of-the art with Enhanced 911 emergency system.
