Community Policing is a philosophy and management approach that promotes community and law enforcement partnership in problem solving and addressing issues that affect our communities. It involves personal contact and interaction. Some of the programs the Sheriff's Department offers that are part of community policing are:

Citizens' Academy

County Fair Dance

Halloween Dance

Stay Out of Jail Free Cards (rides home)

Seminars on the above plus drug awareness, shoplifting, check fraud, etc.
