Marbleton clinic opens

by Derek Farr

On Saturday Rural Health Care Board (RHC) president Bill Budd cut a ceremonial ribbon signifying the Marbleton Clinic’s grand opening. RHC board members joined community members to celebrate the new facility.

The clinic has been operating since Jan. 12.

After more than a year in the making, the $9,623,512 clinic – which was contracted through the county – has 13 examination rooms, four trauma bays, a minor procedure room, and an isolation room. It also has a helipad the back of its 103 W. 3rd St. location.

The clinic has 14 employees and three physicians.

Its hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. After-hours emergencies should call 911.

“It’s way beyond our time for this area,” said RHC Vice President Richard Kalber. “It should last a long, long time.”
