Andrew James “Drew” Fanning

Andrew James “Drew” Fanning, 27, passed away at his home in LaBarge Tuesday October 21, 2008.

Drew was born February 27, 1981 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado to Ronald and Sherri Fanning. He grew up and attended school in Pinedale. After high school he traveled and worked in Idaho and Wyoming. He had a love for reading. There were times he would read one or two books a day. He loved to spend time in the mountains camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and being at one with nature. He was a crack shot and was a very good hunter. He was very knowledgeable about rifles, pistols and shotguns. He was a modern day man of the mountains and was an Indian at heart.

He is survived by his parents Ron and Sherri; brothers Jason Fanning, and George and Christopher Bates; grandmother Irene Riggs; aunt Carol Veiths; and uncles Kevin, Darold and Raymond Riggs.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Norma Richardson, grandfather Warren Riggs and uncle Rollie Riggs.

He was loved by his family and many friends and he will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A graveside funeral service was held Saturday October 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pinedale Cemetery.
