Boyle’s contract not renewed

According to a release from the Sublette County Rural Health Care District (SCRHCD), they will no longer employ Dr. Judith M. Boyle as of May 17.

This ends Boyle’s service to the Pinedale community just shy of eight years.

The release stated that after attempted negotiations lasting for over a year, no agreement between the two parties could be made regarding compensation and contract duration. The release stated that, “During that time, each party, on multiple occasions, rejected the other’s offer.”

Boyle received a letter May 9 via her attorney Elizabeth Greenwood stating her counter offer had been refused and her current employment would end on May 17.

A release from Greenwood states that negotiations never took place.

“It is a complete and utter falsehood,” the release said. “There was never a good faith attempt on the part of this board to ‘negotiate’ with Dr. Boyle.”

Greenwood’s release said the board only offered one contract to Boyle, and on her first counteroffer they refused and terminated Boyle’s employment,

“I can only say I am amazed at what the board’s position is on this,” Greenwood said.

The SCRHCD declined further comment.
