Driver hospitalized

by Joy Ufford

A mangled Looney Construction dump truck lies on its side Tuesday evening south of Daniel Junction on Highway 191 after rolling three-quarters of a roll, according to Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Josh Lengerich. Mike Looney of Daniel was driving the dump truck northbound and it rolled after he swerved to the right to get around a UPS truck that was stopped in the same lane to turn left into the Seven Miles River Ranch drive, the trooper said. Looney was transported to St. John’s Hospital in Jackson where he was listed in “fair” condition Wednesday, according to hospital spokeswoman Karen Connelly.
