Obituaries

Anna May Miller

Anna May Miller, 76, of Rock Springs, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.  A long time resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Miller died following a brief illness. 

She was born on July 27, 1930 in Evanston, the daughter of Theodore and Hazel Farley Mills.  

Mrs. Miller attended schools in Evanston and was a graduate of the Evanston High School in May of 1948.

She married Harvey D. Miller on Feb. 26, 1948 in Evanston, and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2000.

Mrs. Miller was the Postmaster in Altamont and later moved to Rock Springs in 1954. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a 4-H Co-Leader and Leader. She also worked in Food Services for School District No. 1 and retired in 1990.

Her interests included spending summers at Star Valley Ranch R.V. Park, playing golf, cards and visiting with friends there. Winters were spent in Rock Springs playing bingo, bowling and spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling to California and sometimes Wendover.

She was survived by two sons, Ross Miller and wife Terrie of Green River, and Dusty Miller and wife Janna of Manteca, Calif.; two daughters, Loleen Denney and husband Mike of Pinedale, and Mitzi Nellen and husband Gary of Rock Springs; foster son and nephew, Bert Miller and wife Patti of Rock Springs; 15 grand children and 13 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were conducted on Dec. 2, 2006 at the Victory Christian Fellowship Church, 591 Broadway, Rock Springs, Wyo. Pastor Brian Poad will conduct the services. Interment was held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
