Pinedale clinic groundbreaking set

by Bill Boender

The Sublette County Rural Health Care Board met Monday, Aug.14, in Pinedale with all members present. Contracts for services were approved and signed with the Sublette Center, High Country Counseling, Southwest Sublette County Pioneers, Rendezvous Pointe and the McKenzie Meningitis Foundation.

Director Randy Johnson advised the board that three family practitioners are scheduled to come to Pinedale for interviews over the next two weeks. Two other physicians are interested and will be scheduled later.

Johnson reported that two of the four candidates for the administrator’s position dropped out, leaving two candidates who are scheduled for interviews on the 16th and 30th of August.

Pinedale Medical Clinic construction plans are moving forward, with a planning and zoning hearing set for Aug. 21, a meeting with the architect and contractor scheduled for Aug. 31 and a ground breaking ceremony set by the board for Sept. 12. Final cost figures are expected to be available from the contractor by the end of the month.

The board discussed complaints about phone service and the up-front payment policy at the Pinedale clinic and will take steps to resolve those problems.

A bid from Rocky Mountain Power to install electrical service at the new Pinedale Medical Clinic was approved in the amount of$22,496. Leasing of additional office space for the growing administrative function of the board was discussed, with the search for suitable space to continue.

The board then adjourned to executive session to discuss personnel issues.
