Obituaries

Jodie Kay Swain

Born Aug. 11, 1959, Jodie Kay Swain died Sunday, March 26,2006, of cancer at the age of 47.

Jodie was born in Rock Springs and lived in Pinedale and Casper the first seven years of her life, spending time on the ranch with her grandmother Edna Swain. Jodie lived in San Jose, Calif., for three years before moving to Corvallis, Ore., in 1971.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Sharron and Don Emenegger of Corvallis; daughters Ginger, Shannon and Jessica; two grandchildren: Kaylee and Shay; father, Vern Swain of Evanston; grandmother Edna Swain of Daniel; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jodie was preceded in death by her sister, Dinah, brother Greg, and grandparents Joe and Elenore Lamere and Horace Swain.

Memorial services were held in Corvallis. Some of Jodie’s ashes will be scattered on the ranch that she loved so much.

The family wishes to acknowledge the help and caring Benton Hospice, the Sandra Lyn Care Home, her doctors, and the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center staff that cared for Jodie.
