Ross J. Kiever

Ross J. Kiever died May 22, 2005, at the Sublette Center in Pinedale,

Ross was born May 13, 1916, in Adams, Neb., to Rupert C. and Lillie May (Adkins) Kiever.

He was raised on the Kiever family homestead at Highland, Wyo. He married Bonnie Coats of Shoshoni on Oct. 4, 1940.

They had two sons, Jerry R. and James R. Kiever. They lived in Shoshoni, where Ross worked for the Wyoming Highway Department for 30 years. After retiring, Ross and Bonnie moved to Daniel in 1980 and later to the Cora Junction.

Ross enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son James and wife Dee of Daniel; granddaughters Kim Dyess and husband Corey of Laramie, Shannon Curtis and husband Don of Gillette, Kris Kiever of Casper; grandsons Kevin Kiever (Shannon) of New Hampshire, Jack Kiever and wife Jana of Casper, Earl Blevins (Chris) of Casper and nine great-grandchildren.

Ross was preceeded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry, and two great-grandchildren.
