Thomas Kelly

Thomas Joseph Kelly, 63, of Clarksville, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Gateway Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Rock Springs, the son of Theodore W. Kelly and Julia Stefic Kelly.

Kelly retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant-first-class, and he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Dotsonville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kelly of Clarksville; sons Tom Kelly and wife Tammy of Woodlawn and Jimmy Kelly and wife Doris of Guthrie; brothers Howard Kelly, Robert Kelly, Allen Kelly, Terry John Kelly, all of Rock Springs, and Eugene Kelly of Deer Lodge, Mont.; sisters Gail Bider and Sharon Fennell, both of Rock Springs; grandchildren Tessa Kelly, Tye Kelly and Jamie Kelly; and godchildren Manuel Vega III, Maria Almendares, Christy Almendares Curtrite, James Thomas O'Rourke and Annette O'Rourke.

Cheryl Kelly grew up in Pinedale. Her mother, Lila Jensen Ditton, passed away when Cheryl was one and she was raised by her grandparents, James and Mary Jensen.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Carl Kelly and Donald Kelly.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec 16, 2005, at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel with the Rev. Herbert McFadden officiating.

Burial was in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
