Obituaries

Maude A. Harker

Maude A. Harker passed away on March 7, 2005, at the Sublette Center in Pinedale. Maude was born in Bloomington, Wis., on Feb. 13, 1907. She was the daughter of William and Rosetta Hammond. Maude graduated from nursing school in 1930 and served several community hospitals in Wisconsin and Iowa.

In 1944, Maude married Clifford Harker, who was serving in the Army. They resided in Iowa until 1954 and moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where they lived until joining family in Bakersfield, Calif.

Maude was extremely involved with church work until later in life. She enjoyed watching football, particularly the Denver Broncos. Maude loved the presence of her seven great-grandchildren and one of her favorite days at the Sublette Center was the kids’ visitation day.

Her husband Clifford preceded her in death in 1999.

Survivors include son Michael Harker and wife Stephanie of Pinedale, grandson Nick Harker and wife Tammi and great grandchildren Hanz, Hallie and Chaz of Bakersfield; grandson Quin Harker and wife Missy and great-grandchildren Hayden and Jack of Pleasanton, Calif.; granddaughter Serese and husband Michael Kudar and great-grandchildren Anton and Fabienne of Jackson Hole; granddaughter Tiffany Harker of Jackson Hole; and Grandson Garrett Harker of San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Memorial services will be conducted at a family gathering this summer. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Hudson’s Funeral Home of Pinedale.
