Presentation on elder abuse planned

As a skilled nursing facility licensed in the State of Wyoming, the Sublette Center is required to have abuse policy and procedure in place. When abuse is reported, the Sublette Center adheres to the established reporting guidelines in the welfare and institution code for long-term care facilities.

The Sublette Center is continually striving to maintain the standards of excellence in all aspects of care. We recognize that the residents of the Sublette Center are the pride of the community and feel it is our responsibility to protect them and we are proud of our hard-working staff for being dedicated to this goal. We also want to thank the community for their support during this difficult time for all of us.

As part of our continuing efforts, Sublette Center invites residents, employees, friends, family and any other concerned parties to attend the presentation "Elder Abuse" by Jamie Lookingbill, ombudsman for the State of Wyoming. The presentation will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 2:30 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the Sublette Center in Pinedale.

Lookingbill is a patient advocate, has served the residents of nursing homes for many years and has a wealth of knowledge to share.
