Patsy Ruth Edwards Rich
Patsy Ruth Edwards Rich was 69 years young when she went to live with Our Heavenly Father on May 3, 2004. She fought a great battle with cancer and came to rest at her home in St. George, Utah. She was surrounded by family and friends at the time that she left us to be with our Heavenly Father.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 17, 1935, to Ruth Waterhouse Natter and Frank Natter.
She moved to Pinedale her senior year of high school and became an artist of all mediums. She won numerous awards for her love of art. Well-known throughout the state for her work with the Wyoming Artists Association, she was a member of the Women Artists of the American West and several other art organizations. She shared her love of art with many people throughout the years. Patsy owned and operated Pa-Jo's Gallery for 34 years before retiring to St. George.
She is survived by her husband, Dean R. Rich of St. George; son Daniel A. Edwards of Jackson; daughters Sherry Allen of Provo, Utah, and Jacqueline Howe of St. George; stepchildren: Gino Rich of Green River, Tio Rich and Cash Rich of Pinedale, Hope Saunders of Jackson, Butch Rich of Murray, Utah, and Tina Donahue of Pierre, S.D. She had 39 grandchildren between her and Dean, and 12 great-grandchildren and three more great-grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph A. Edwards, in 1984 and a grandson, Craig A Edwards, in 1983.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, at 1 p.m. at the Bloomington Hills LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 750 E. Fort Pierce Drive in St. George. A visitation will be held Friday, May 7, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., and Saturday, May 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be held Monday, May 10, at 4:30 p.m. in the Afton City Cemetery in Afton.
