Thomas Rulon Marshall

Our Lord has received our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend Thomas Rulon Marshall (The Pa) in eternal fly-fishing heaven on March 19, 2005, due to complications of cancer.

He was born in Evanston on May 30, 1939, to Rulon Kermit and Agnes Rose O'Leary Marshall. He married his beloved wife and best friend, Dee Ann Heward (The Ma), on April 5, 47 years ago in Montpelier, Idaho, and they honeymooned in Jackson.

While on this earth he spent many hours fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time out in the mountains watching the animals every chance he had. He was a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation booster for many years and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Elks of Tooele, Utah. He loved to be outdoors with his children and grandchildren. He loved to make new friends wherever he went. He loved to take his sweetheart out on his boat, which he had named Torpedo Tom.

He spent 36 years in Tooele raising his family and growing his perfect garden and greenest yard on the block. He left Tooele and many friends to move to his beloved fly-fishing and hunting grounds of Pinedale five years ago where he spent the rest of his life. He will be greatly missed by many people that he watched and took care of.

He is survived by his loving wife, DeeAnn H. Marshall; children JoAnne (John) Mentaberry, Peggy Lynn Marshall, both of Alpine, Bonnie Gay (Christian) Whitesides of Morgan, Utah, Elaine (Michael) Wohlfarth of Jackson, and Thomas Scott (Vicky) Marshall of Sandy, Utah. He is also survived by his sister Marianne (Byron) Shaw, four nieces and nephews, and 13 grandchildren that he loved very much and loved to laugh with.

Funeral services were held Wednesday March 23, at 2 p.m. at Hudson's Funeral Home in Pinedale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kickin' Cancer in Sublette County, P.O. Box 383 Daniel, Wyo., 83115.
