Mary Estelle Holt

Marbleton resident Mary Estelle Holt passed away Sunday evening Feb. 6, at the Sublette Center in Pinedale. Estelle was born in New Smyrna, Fla., on March 18, 1920, to Richard and Mary Brooker. She was 84 years old.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Hudson’s Funeral Home.

Charles E. (Charlie) Johnson

Charles E. (Charlie) Johnson went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005.

Charlie was born on Sep. 14, 1942, in Eaton, Colo., to Ray and Lorraine Johnson. He graduated from Pinedale High School in 1960.

Charlie married Nellie Bernice Varney in Spearfish, S.D., on Jan. 26, 1963. They resided in Sheridan before moving to Pinedale. To this union three sons were born.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Nellie; sons Hal (Nonie) Johnson of Worland, Heath (Mary) Johnson of Pinedale and Brad Johnson of Cody; grandchildren Adam Johnson, Charles D. Johnson, Jake Johnson, Cassie Boyce, Shuree and Breanna Youngberg; sisters Willa Beth Buono of Rock Springs and Patricia (Johnson) Coleman (Bob) of Pinedale. He is also survived by several cousins, sister-in-law, Barbara (Bob) Hall of Ranchester, and nephews David and Jim Hall.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and grandmother and grandfather, Guy.

Charlie was a quiet man and did not easily show his emotions. He often found it difficult to find the words to express his love for others.

Charlie will be missed by his family, his friends and all who knew him.
