PAWG meetings schedule set

The Bureau of Land Management in Pinedale invites the public to attend its next Pinedale Anticline Working Group meeting Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 in the Pinedale Volunteer Fire Department’s meeting room.

The PAWG meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will run until completed, perhaps as late as 5:45 p.m.

PAWG was authorized and established with release of the Record of Decision for the Pinedale Anticline Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Project on July 27, 2000. The PAWG is designed to advise the BLM on the development and implementation of monitoring plans and adaptive management decisions as development of the Pinedale Anticline Natural Gas Field proceeds, for the life of the field.

The PAWG Water Resources task group will host a public meeting Wednesday at 9 a.m. Nov. 10. This task group will also meet on Jan. 13, 2005. Both meetings will be held in the Lovatt Room of the Sublette County Public Library in Pinedale. The Transportation task group, a subcommittee of the PAWG, will hold its next public meetings at 1 p.m. Nov. 16, and Dec. 7. For more information, contact Bill Wadsworth in the Pinedale BLM Field Office at (307) 367-5341.

The Sublette County Library is the site for the Nov. 10, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15 public meetings of the PAWG Reclamation task group. The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Dessa Dale in the Pinedale Field Office at (307) 367-5321.

The Socio-Economic task group, one of several subcommittees of the PAWG, will meet Nov. 17 and Dec. 14. For more information, contact the BLM Socio-Economic task group liaison Roy Allen, (307) 775-6196.

The PAWG Wildlife task group has scheduled meetings for Tuesday, Nov. 9 and Thursday, Dec. 9. The Nov. 9 meeting will be held in the Pinedale Volunteer Fire Department meeting room. The Dec. 9 meeting will be held in the Lovatt meeting room of the Sublette County Public Library in Pinedale.
