Sublette Examiner Volume 4, Number 31 - October 28, 2004 brought to you online by Pinedale Online Reporter’s notes Brucellosis The Wyoming Brucellosis Coordination Task Force will hold its next meeting Oct. 28-29 at the Best Western Tower Lodge in Gillette. Among other items on the agenda, the group will hear updates from former Wyoming State Veterinarian Dr. Jim Logan on the brucellosis cases in Teton and Campbell counties and will discuss recommendations for fighting the disease in wildlife. The task force has tentatively scheduled its next meeting for Nov. 17-18 in Lander. Jonah EIS The environmental impact statement for the next stage of natural-gas development within the existing Jonah II natural gas field should be released for public review in mid-November, according to Bureau of Land Management Pinedale Field Manager Prill Mecham. WG&F Commission The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission will hold its next meeting Nov. 4 and 5 at the Super 8 Motel in Torrington. Items on the agenda include an overview of state wildlife grants planning, update on the brucellosis team and the grizzly bear occupancy proposal. Travel, rec and wildlife Senator Delaine Roberts and Representative Mike Baker, co-chairmen, of the Joint Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Interim Committee, have announced the Committee will meet Nov. 8 and 9 in the Sublette County Library in Pinedale. The purpose of the meeting is to consider funding for state parks and cultural resources, state parks site criteria, the Wyoming territorial prison state park site plan, care and management of state collections, snowmobile trails funding, capital funding expenditures of the game and fish department and bifurcated budget requests, alternative funding for wildlife, electronic licensing for hunting and fishing, recreational opportunities, increasing game populations, bingo and designation of the state bird.
