Obituaries

Peggy Kvenild

No services are planned for Peggy Kvenild, 91, of Casper, who passed away Oct. 8, 2004, in her sleep at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center.

She was born Jan. 14, 1913, in Providence, R.I. Following her graduation from Vassar College, she moved to Sublette County, where she was a resident for more than 40 years. As an educator, she taught at all levels, from nursery school to the 12th grade, and she taught in a variety of settings, from one-room schools to the Pinedale public school.

In 1956, she married John S. Kvenild of Big Piney and they lived on the Reservoir Ranch. They moved to Carmel Valley, Calif., in 1968.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church and served in various lay capacities in both Sublette County and in Carmel Valley.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Spencer Reynolds, and his wife of Princeton, N.J.; stepsons J.R. Kvenild and his wife of Casper, and Bill Kvenild and his wife of Laramie; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
