BLM reviewing county application

by Cat Urbigkit

The Bureau of Land Management is in the process of reviewing the Sublette County Commission's application for a right-of-way for the Erramouspe Road.

BLM realty specialist Patricia Hamilton said in an interview Monday that her agency did receive the county's application and now has a team of resource specialists reviewing the application "for resource conflicts or concerns we might have."

Hamilton said she is currently awaiting clearance from one resource specialist, and once that clearance has been given, she will write an environmental assessment and draft a right-of-way grant to offer to the county commission.

"We're almost there," Hamilton said.

Although the proposed right-of-way will be the subject of an environmental assessment, Hamilton said she doesn't anticipate any major conflicts or concerns since the scope of the project is limited to an existing roadway.

Hamilton said she anticipates being able to make the offer to the county commission sometime before mid-October.
