Audrey Irene Miller Wooley

Audrey Irene Miller Wooley, 68, passed away Aug. 18, 2004. Audrey was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Yoder, the youngest child of Joseph Johannes and Minnie Louisa Holdeman Miller.

The family later moved to Pinedale. Audrey received the Sublette County spelling award in 1950. She graduated from Pinedale High School and married Charles Eugene Robertson on Aug.17, 1953, in Jackson, but they later divorced. While married, they lived in Wyoming, North Carolina and Alaska.

She married Arthur Gibson April 14, 1963, in Pinedale, but later divorced. While married, they lived in Wyoming and California.

The third time being the charm, she found the man she would spend the rest of her life with. While living in Lusk, she met Weldon E. Wooley and he moved her and her six children to Vernal, Utah. They were married Dec. 27, 1970.

She could always be found working by his side on any project.

Weldon is the reason she became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She and four of her children were baptized and confirmed March 26, 1971. She was an active member of the church and served in many callings. She was currently serving as the relief society visiting teaching coordinator. She always did more than was required and was always there to help.

Audrey enjoyed crocheting, knitting, any form of craftwork, fishing and visiting with anyone who would listen. She played the piano and enjoyed singing. She was a member of the Apple Blossoms. She also loved doing family history. Although she submitted and had the work done for many of her family members, she did not receive her own endowments until October of 2002.

She is survived by her husband, Weldon; her children, Raymond (Willie) Robertson of Las Vegas, Nev.; Gene (Cheryl) Robertson of Vernal; Barbara (Earl) Speirs of Vernal; John Robertson of Vernal; Michelle (Nicky) Jaquess of Lyman; Debbie (Clinton) Richens of Vernal; stepchildren, Arlinda (Charles Van of Clarinda, Iowa; Vickie Williams of Nevada, Mo.; Barbara (Marc) Stavropoulos of Vernal; Claudia (Steve) Stacey of Huntington, Ore.; Christine (Tim) Baker of Nevada; Wade E. Wooley of Nevada; and sisters Dorothy Bentzel and Mary Jane Warinner of Pinedale.

Between them, she and Weldon have 32 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Earl, Rex and John Miller.

A special thank-you to Ranae Robertson for being there with a smile for grandma.
