Obituaries

Lawrence Madsen

Lawrence Madsen, 85, of Bondurant passed away at the St. Johns Living Center in Jackson. A long-time resident of Bondurant and former resident of Casper, Madsen passed away following a lengthy illness.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1918, in Curring County, Neb., the son of late Louis and Juliane Petersen Madsen.

Madsen married Elsie Rove Parvisini in Green River, Oct. 7, 1943.

He worked as a carman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years, until his retirement on October 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie; one son, Larry Madsen, and wife, Beth, of Casper; one daughter, Irene Brinkerhoff, and husband, Jim, of Bondurant; one brother, Emil Madsen of Lompoc, Calif.; one sister, Doris Wurth of Omaha, Neb.; three granddaughters, Carrie, Rhonda and Jennifer; three great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters,

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Riverview Cemetery in Green River.


Margaret Alice Brause

Margaret Alice Brause, 56, passed away Saturday Aug. 7, 2004, at the St. John's Medical Center in Jackson with her husband at her side.

Margaret was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Beaver City, Okla., to Bert and Margaret Krell. She married Bud Brause on July 9, 1965, in Kemmerer. Together they have three children.

Margaret had many hobbies and interests; among her favorites was art. She loved to paint and create table displays with plants and flowers. She also loved animals; she had several cats that she adored. Her most beloved interest was her husband and children and grandchildren. She truly loved her family and they will greatly miss her.

Margaret was an active member of the Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bud Brause of Marbleton; two sons, Michael Shayne Brause of Pendleton, Ore., and Sean Brause of Hermiston, Ore.; and daughter, Shawna Lynn, and her husband, Mike Thompson, of Hermiston; brother, George C. Krell of Laramie; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and two brothers, Walter and Elvin Krell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Pinedale. There will be a viewing from 11 - 11:50 a/m. The service will begin at noon. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Victory Bible Church at 715 West Hermiston Ave., in Hermiston. Interment will take place in the Kemmerer Cemetery following the funeral service in Pinedale.
