Obituaries

Angela Joy Berg

Angela Joy Berg, 27, of Rock Springs died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 4, 1977, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Orvie and Dianne Knutson Berg. She attended schools at North Park Elementary, White Mountain Junior High, and Rock Springs High School, graduating with the class of 1997.

Angela was active in 4-H and the Special Olympics. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Her interests were her dog "Cricket," cat "Buddy Holly," listening to country music, reading the Bible, surfing the Internet, spending time with family and friends, gambling in Las Vegas, Sunday barbecues with family, and discussing politics. She was also a trivia buff.

Survivors include her parents, Orvie and Dianne Berg of Rock Springs; brothers Jake Berg of Rock Springs and Allen Berg and wife Deanne of Farson; sisters Luann Harper and fiancee Pete Leibee of Rock Springs, and Audrey Berg of Victor, Mont.; nieces Morgan Deal, Renee Harper, Courtney Harper, Kaycie Berg and Alicia Lawerence; nephews, Kyle Harper, Dustin Berg and Josh Lawerence; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Oswald and Bernice Berg, and maternal grandparents, Carl Knutson and Judy Challas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, at the Sweetwater County Events Complex in Rock Springs, with Rev. Scott Shields of the Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home in Rock Springs.


Nelson C. Whitman

Nelson Whitman, 65, of Alpine died of natural causes June 17, 2004. He passed away while he was doing what he loved: guiding a trail ride at the Spring Creek Resort in Jackson.

Nelson was born Feb 16, 1939, in Kemmerer, the son of Bruce and Frances Whitman.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 22, at 2 p.m. in Viola La Barge Creek Cemetery.


Mary Thomson

Mary Thomson of Cora passed away June 17, 2004, with funeral services held Wednesday, June 23, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Pinedale.
