Election Results

Marbleton:

A total of 139 Marbleton residents turned out at the polls this week to elect their town officials.

Incumbent Jim Robinson faced off challenger Garry Eiden Sr. for another two-year term as mayor of Marbleton. Robinson won by a margin of 60 votes (98 to 38).

Two council members were elected to two-year terms, including incumbent Mike Hughes with 95 votes, and Gary Rees with 72 votes.

Unsuccessful candidates included Kay Picerno, with 67 votes cast in her favor, and Jim Murphy with 23.

Two council members were unchallenged for four-year terms: Curt Casey received 108 votes and Sue Hoefer 103.

Big Piney:

A total of 87 voters headed to the Big Piney Town Hall to cast their votes Tuesday.

Incumbent Phillip Smith was unchallenged for another two-year term as mayor. Voters cast 80 ballots in his favor.

Claireanne Gordon and Chris Taylor easily held off challengers Sonia Stone and Michael Reece. Gordon received 72 votes, Taylor 66, Stone 14 votes, and Reece received 15 votes.
