Sublette Examiner Volume 3, Number 29 - October 16, 2003 brought to you online by Pinedale Online Briefs No water appointments Sweetwater and Lincoln county officials have decided to hold off on making their appointments to the tri-county joint powers board for Green River water development until later this month. Sweetwater County Commissioners held discussions with six of the seven applicants for seats on the board last week, but plans to make the appointments on Tuesday, Oct. 21. Lincoln County officials reported that the county commission is still accepting applications. The deadline is Oct. 17 and the commission will make the appointments on Oct. 21 as well. Pine Creek instream flow Jeff Geyer of the Wyoming State Engineer's Office said that the state agency is still working on the decision for the Pine Creek instream flow applications. A recent staff meeting heldto discuss the issue was not attended by the staff attorney, so another meeting is to be held soon to discuss the legal issues. Geyer said staff are now working their way through water rights and flow records in preparation for the decision. Wolf meeting planned The Sublette County Farm Bureau plans to meet next Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Farm Bureau office in Pinedale. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss both old and new business, including plans to host a wolf forum in Pinedale next month. The county group will also discuss its annual plan and potential litigation regarding the Pine Creek instream flow proposal. Farm Bureau members, or anyone interested in joining the organization, are urged to attend next week's session. See The Archives for past articles.
