Two dozen cattle killed

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department reported Tuesday that the unofficial number of beef cattle in the Upper Green River region of the Bridger-Teton National Forest that had been killed by grizzly bears now stands at 24 for the current grazing season.

This means that there has been one more confirmed kill since last week. WG&F's Mark Bruscino reported that the latest confirmed kill consisted of a hide that had been soaked to soften it up. The hide did have evidence of grizzly depredation, but there was no way to tell when the kill occurred. With no fresh kills in the area, no control actions are underway, he reported.
