Grazing EIS for Upper Green Allotments

The Bridger-Teton National Forest will prepare an environmental impact statement to examine continued livestock grazing in the Upper Green Allotment Complex.

Dave Booth of the Forest Service reported that a notice of intent to prepare an EIS will soon be published in the Federal Register. The EIS will examine cattle grazing in six allotments, totaling about 163,000 acres. The allotments include Badger Creek, Beaver/Twin Creek, Noble Pastures, Roaring Fork, Upper Green and Wagon Creek.

Booth said the draft EIS should be completed this fall, with the final EIS published early next year.
