2002-2003 Budget Amendments
Sublette County School District Number One
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing on proposed budget amendments involving the General Fund and School Lunch Fund of Sublette County School District Number One, Pinedale, Wyoming. The purpose of the amendments is to increase budgeted expenditures in several categories of those funds. The increased expenditures are enabled as a result of the school district reaching the "maximum recapture limit." The "maximum recapture limit" is determined by a mathematical calculation specified both in Wyoming statute and the Wyoming Constitution. The amount of the "maximum recapture limit" was not determined until well into the 2002-2003 fiscal year. The proposed amendments are necessary for the district to be in compliance with other provisions of the Uniform Municipal Fiscal Procedures Act and other Wyoming statutes involving school budgets and expenditures. The amendments do not involve the levying of additional taxes, the collection of additional taxes or changes in the use of the funds for any purpose other than originally intended by the Board of Trustees.
The hearing will be held in the board room, Sublette County School District Number One Administration Building located at 101 East Hennick Street, Pinedale, Wyoming at 7:25 p.m., Thursday, June 12th, 2003, at which time any and all persons interested may appear and be heard respecting such amendments.
