Wolves kill Grindstone Cattle Company calf

Maggie Miller of Grindstone Cattle Company said that federal wildlife officials confirmed that two wolves killed a calf at Grindstone's Scott Place last Thursday.

Grindstone's Ray Sandborn said that the wolves were never seen and no further problems have occurred. He explained that the ranch had moved some cows, and had left a calf behind. The missing calf was found dead the next morning.

U.S.D.A. Wildlife Services officer Merrill Nelson reportedly confirmed the calf had been killed by two wolves.
