Slip-Sliding Away

Tanner Butner slides down the water slide at the Pinedale Elementary School's annual Track and Field Day last Tuesday. Events included water balloon tossing, sponge relays, sack races, a duck in the ditch game, frisbee golf, pink ball, squirt gun wars and an obstacle course. The warm day was perfect for all the cool-water events. If the kids got too cold, they would just lay on the track to warm up. Teachers helped out with each event, as well as a high school student and parents who came for the day's fun. For more on the fun, see this week's paper.
