Jackson papers to merge

Wednesday, Nov. 13, will be the last time that there will be two papers published out of Jackson. The Jackson Hole Guide and Jackson Hole News recently announced that the two papers will merge, with the first "merged" issue of the paper coming out on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

According to Al Renneisen, one of the publishers of the Guide and new operating manager for the Jackson Hole News and Guide, the paper will still print a free daily paper using the News' format.

Renneisen said they are still in the planning process but they hope to purchase a new press some time in the future. For now, they will run the presses at both facilities.

Both Pinedale papers are printed in Jackson. The Guide has printed the Sublette Examiner since it began and also printed the Pinedale Roundup until April 5, 2001. The News has printed the Roundup since that date.

There are no plans to change the time or place of printing of the Examiner at this time, but that is subject to availability of the presses in Jackson.
