Jeepers Creepers - They need old peepers

Pinedale area Girl Scouts have come up with a new community-service Halloween activity. According to a news release, trick-or-treat night is "Sight Night" for volunteers across North America. The program is a frightfully fun service project sponsored by LensCrafters(r) and Lions Clubs International. Their volunteers will clean , repair, classify old eyeglasses by prescription and hand-deliver them to people in developing countries who need eyeglasses, but cannot afford them.

To help in the effort, area Girl Scouts chose Halloween night for their "Jeepers Creepers - We're Collecting Old Peepers!" project. The girls request that anyone with old eyeglasses have them ready Halloween night, when they will pick them up. If they miss you on Sight Night, have no fear, drop them off at Pinedale Elementary School.

The Girl Scouts thank you in advance for scaring up your old eyeglasses.

LensCrafters(r) and Lions Clubs International accept old eyeglasses throughout the year; for info call 1-800-541-LENS.
