Cost of living in Sublette County

As it has historically, Teton County ranked as the most expensive county in the state to live, ranking about 42 percent more expensive to live than the rest of the state, according to the Wyoming Cost of Living Index compiled by the Wyoming Economic Analysis Division.

Teton County had a cost of living index value of 142, followed by Laramie County with 105; Sheridan and Campbell counties with 104; and Johnson and Sublette counties with 103. Weston and Niobrara were the least expensive counties to live in, with index values of 87.

Average rental rates for the second quarter of 2002 in Sublette County were $472 per month for an apartment (two-bedroom, unfurnished, excluding utilities); $200 for a mobile home lots (single-wide, including water); and $611 to rent a two or three-bedroom house for a single family, excluding utilities.
