Proud to be an American

The 27th annual LaBarge Fourth of July Parade makes its entrance into town with over 40 entries as locals lined the sidewalks in anticipation.

This year's parade presented lots of patriotism. Red, white and blue were prominent colors for Saturday's showing. This float of LaBarge's American Legion took second place. First Energy Services took first and the Eagle Bar/Pizza took third.

Everyone was invited for a hearty pancake breakfast sponsored by the LDS church to start LaBarge's celebration.

Don Studt, the oldest person living in LaBarge, was this year's Grand Marshal. His ride, a 2001 Chevrolet Camero convertible, was provided by E and L Motors.

For some, all the fun in the sun was just a bit too much to handle for one day. At least this parade go-er, Sam Hatcher, had a cushy ride for the day's events.
