Salsa's Home!
Salsa turns up in Jensens’ yard
by Rhonda Swain

Our mountain-man-pioneer-tookawrongturn-tortoise is back

After 22 days of his family worrying and wondering if they would ever find him, Salsa, a tortoise that went for a walk on June 5, finally showed up in the yard of Craig and Marilyn Jensen of Boulder. Somehow or another, Salsa had covered about two-and-a-half miles from his family’s home on the New Fork River, to arrive at the Jensens’ home east of Boulder.

In an e-mail announcing they had found Salsa, Gillian McFarland and her folks, Jan Allen and Michael McFarland, Jan said, "Our mountain-man-pioneer took-a-wrong-turn tortoise is back!" Jan went on to say that "the phone rang at 9:30 last night (Thursday, June 27) and a woman said, ‘I think your tortoise is in my yard!’"
