Sun Soakin'

by Delsa Allen

It's the time for baby animals in western Wyoming, with calves, lambs and colts in abundance on local ranches. Wild critters now have their babes on the ground as well: pronghorn antelope fawns, red fox kits, sandhill crane chicks, and more can be seen. Duke is just two and a half weeks old and takes advantage of the time to lay around in the sun before getting up to burn off built-up energy.
