Sublette Examiner Volume 2, Number 11 - June 13, 2002 brought to you online by Pinedale Online Salsa's missing In our March 21 issue, we ran an article on a tortoise named Salsa, and the response the Examiner staff and Salsa's family received was overwhelming. However, Salsa, tortoise that he is, went for a walk June 5 and, according to family members Gillian McFarland and her folks, Jan Allen and Michael McFarland, he's not home yet! He was last seen on Oxbow Lane, off Highway 191 between Pinedale & Boulder. Salsa likes to warm up during the noon hour, eat, ramble and heads for cover at dusk, under ground or in some kind of shelter, i.e. stalls. Salsa is a land tortoise, weighing between 45 and 60 pounds, is 18 inches across, travels fairly fast and responds to his name. His family needs him to come home and is offering a $500 reward for his safe return. If you have seen Salsa or heard anything of his whereabouts, please call his family at 537-4219. His family is grateful to all who have helped in the search. See The Archives for past articles. Copyright © 2002 Sublette Examiner All rights reserved.
