Pinedale municipal election set for May 7

Thursday, March 28, is the first day that prospective Pinedale Town Council members can file for a seat on that governing board, according to Pinedale Town Clerk Patty Racich, with the Pinedale Municipal election scheduled for Tuesday, May 7. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

There are three council seats and the mayoral chair up for election this year. Randy Reed’s seat, which was held by Bob Maxam prior to his resignation, was originally a four-year seat, but Reed only held the position for two years. Reed is undecided as to whether or not he will file for re-election.

Margaret Ann Holman holds a four-year seat that is up for grabs; she, too, is undecided about whether or not to file. Jeff Reising’s four-year seat will be filled by a newcomer to the council, as Reising has chosen not to seek re-election.

Finally, Mayor Rose Skinner’s two-year term is open, and Skinner has decided to run again for that seat.

Interested parties can file from Thursday, March 28, through Thursday, April 11, at Pinedale Town Hall, 210 West Pine Street. There is a $25 filing fee.
